A big Hi to the community. Well, I have decided that I'd probably buy an Asus HD 7770 2 GB DDR5 graphics card alongwith 8 GB corsair ram from Amazon. But when I came to know that my now-three-year old PC has standard fan and heatsink (73 W), I became a bit skeptical. Can you guys tell me wether my 73w standard fan and heatsink be able to withstand 8 GB of ram and the power of a HD 7770 when I play F1 2012 on it ? Will it overheat or remain fine ?

Solution
Yes buy a new PSU. Get a Corsair CX500W. Assuming you are from India it would cost you 4000INR and if you are from US/Canada then around 50$.

if you look at the back of your pc, where you plug in the power cable it may tell you what it is. Just read any text as it may give us an idea

I think it is just a 250 watt PSU since my computer is a dell inspiron T24010IN8 580s. The graphics card I need would surely need about 400-500 wattage. So should I buy a new PSU as well as a new PCIe connector ?
