Im looking at buying a 7950 card,i currently have a 550ti and it works ok but will struggle in the future and cant really manage bf4 (atleast in beta anyway).I cant seem to find what pins the card actually needs

Native Cables
ATX connector (500 mm) 20+4 pin
4+4 pin EPS12V (580 mm) 1
6+2 pin PCIe (500 mm+150 mm) 2
SATA (480 mm+150 mm+150 mm) 3
SATA (480 mm+150 mm) / 4 pin Molex (+150 mm) 2 / 1
4 pin Molex (480 mm+150 mm+150 mm) / FDD (+150 mm) 3 / 1

i read that i need a 6 pin plug and to my understanding i dont have that :( ?

It depends on which specific 7950 you get. Some require 2 6-pin connectors, some require an 8-pin and a 6-pin connector, and some require 2 8-pin connectors. Your power supply can plug into any of those just fine.

My concern would be the power output of your power supply. AMD recommends a 500-watt power supply for one 7950, and 750 W if you plan on using Crossfire. Your power supply meets the requirements for one, but if it was up to me, it's a bit too close for comfort.

wont be crossfiring, they reccomend 500 and i have 550,they say 500 to cover themselves anyway so 550 should be fine.

Measured power consumption default card
1.System in IDLE = 165W
2.System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 300W
3.Difference (GPU load) = 135W
4.Add average IDLE wattage ~3W
5.Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 138 Watts

Mind you that the system wattage is measured at the wall socket.

Measured power consumption overclocked at 1020 MHz (no voltage tweaking)
1.System in IDLE = 165W
2.System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 309W
3.Difference (GPU load) = 144W
4.Add average IDLE wattage ~3W
5.Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 147 Watts

Measured power consumption overclocked at 1150 MHz (with 1.25 Volts)
1.System in IDLE = 167W
2.System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 381W
3.Difference (GPU load) = 214W
4.Add average IDLE wattage ~3W
5.Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 217 Watts

So a rated like XFX, Seasonic, Corsair, Antec PSU with 550W will be required. And you are fine to go.
