i was thinking more on the lines of if i run 3 x monitors of a different size/model as long as they can all run at 1080p @ 5ms they should be fine?

my Sapphire R9 280 has:

1 x HDMI (with 3D)
2 x Mini-DisplayPort
1 x Single-Link DVI-D
1 x Dual-Link DVI-I

i'll need a 2nd R9 280x no doubt for 5760 x 1080.

Well it wont be eye pleasing and would be a bit weird. But it should be fine as long you are ready for it. Btw how much is the price difference?

And 280x would fine but for ultra you'll definitely need to CFX

Indeed. It is beautiful. The bezel is so thin. Perfect for multi-monitor.

Anyways I havent read much about the other monitor. And I read its not IPS. So won't the same quality and viewing angles won't be good. So if you can compromise in picture quality and viewing angle. Then you should get it ;)
