How big must my PSU be (building next week/whenever R9 290 comes out)?

CPU: Intel i7 4770k

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 PRO3

Memory: Kingston 1600Mhz CL10 HyperX (Red)

SSD: Kingston SSDnow v300 Series 120GB

HDD: Western Digital 1TB internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue

GPU: R9 290 (Non-X)
Also, I have an optical drive and I have a bunch of speakers I'll be connecting to my PC.

Can anyone roughly estimate how big my PSU needs to be?

Really? The R9 290 has a TDP of 250-300w by itself...And the 4770k has a TDP of about 74w...

Yeah, you're right. Is a 750w good enough? I want to save some room for future upgrades I might make. Or is it not necessary, and I should just go with a 600w one?

Skimp not on your PSU, and explode not will your PC. -Yoda

When I ran your config through said calculator it suggested 600W. Get a solid brand, would be my advice. I personally use Antec PSUs; not the technologically hottest, but no reputation for failure.

Okay, I've decided to go with Corsair 750w Builder Series (80 plus Bronze) PSU, and it was only a few bucks more. :D
