Both the green and red side have cards that are good at rendering. It depends on what to render and how much to render simultaneously. Though from what I've heard is that Nvidia's GTX 780ti will be a beast. AMD does have the power over the console market as of now with the next-gen consoles. So Nvidia is probably fully focused on bringing up new cards for PCs.
