Help with two gtx 660 cards to x8/x8 configuration

so I have asrock 970 extreme 4 with compability for two nvidia cards on SLI configuration. BUT it should run on x8/x8 on pcie 2nd generation. so my question is, will it have enough bandwidth per slot to work efficiently enough? thanks in advance!
