Hey guys,

Being the 1st time PC builder that I am,I bought a corsair H110 280mm closed loop liquid cooler that is supposed to be mounted into my Coolermaster HAF X. I read on a Tom'shardware page that they would fit. I however, don't think they are going to fit,I don't know how much moding will be neccessary and how effective it will be. My parts are due in tomorrow and I'm unsure as to what I should due. My H110 already arrived from amazon but I haven't opened it yet.

Help Please?

Where di you see that it was supposed to fit? the HAF case has 2x200mm fans for the top and you need 2x140mm slots of that cooler.

a bunch of other google searches show you can either only get a few screws in with 120mm fans or some zipties or some ghetto way to mount it in the top. Not the best solution but I guess it's possible. You already got it. lol.

Probably doesn't have all the holes for screws that you need stock.

Supports dual 200mm, and triple 120mm up top. So dual 140mm might not line up perfectly.

Get out a ruler and see if you can put it in at an angle to catch at least two screw holes (though that might not be enough to support the weight). If you don't mind drilling some holes it might not be as bad as you think.

Lesson painfully learned. Don't listen to an idiot who doesn't bring proof. I'm gonna see if I can get a new case and return this damn HAF X to hardwareversand. It's arriving tomorrow lol

You might just be able to remove the stock fans and place it over that bar to hold the weight. Then screw the fans to the bottom, using only a few screws. Wouldn't be able to do a proper push pull though.

Gentlemen,a quick update: I decided to go ahead and purchase a Corsair Obsidian 900D and mount my H110 into it. I will attempt to return my HAF X upon it's arrival, although I will be accepting the other components that I ordered(don't know if that's possible). Thank you all for your help and I apologize for these noob questions. Take Care!

Well, certainly any 120mm, 240mm, or 360mm Radiator, as shown in that picture. Not sure I know of any 360mm models that aren't open loop. From what I saw a lot of people leave the 200mm fans up top and hang two 120mm fans off the bottom of a 240mm radiator for an interesting push/pull.

h100/h100i (240mm) and the equivalents from other vendors is plenty for most people.

I use a push only h80i on my 4770k, it is adequate, but my chip is not a very good one.
