Upgrading GPU 460 to 660? Mobo/PSU?

Hi! First post, seeking advice.

First of all, current setup:

- Intel i5 760 @2.80 GHz
- 4 GB RAM
- 500 GB HDD
- GeForce GTX 460
- Gigabyte P55A-UD3 mobo
- 500W PSU

Considering to upgrade just my GPU for now: GTX 460 to GTX 660. Is it worth it? Do I get a boost, or are my other components bottlenecking? Also, planning to double RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. Is my motherboard OK for that GPU? Also, do I have a sufficient PSU (500 W) for these upgrades?

Other: using this PC for gaming. Games such as The Sims 3, Skyrim, CS:GO, Battlefield 3. Planning to get BF 4, mainly the reason for my upgrading needs. Gaming resolution 1280x1024 or 1024 x 768.

TL;DR

Is GTX 660 a good pick, and is my system / PSU capable of running the GPU?

If you can bump up to the GTX760 you'll gain a lot of gaming performance, but really you'll need to run at higher resolutions to take full advantage. A new monitor might be a good idea.

500W supply should be enough. GTX460 was known for high power consumption.

Your CPU is still quite good, and if you haven't overclocked you can give that a try. Might be worthwhile to get a larger heatsink/fan.

So I should be all good with the RAM and GPU upgrade then? The GTX 660 is in the range of what I can afford, which is roughly 200 €, at max.
