Is this video card appropriate for my PC ?

I'm getting a new video card, so I can get better fps in games. My choice would probably be Radeon 7770. My question is whether I should get this one or some other cheaper, because of the of the low specs of the other hardware ?(resolution 1024x768 or 1280x720)
PC specs:
CPU: Celeron E3300(2 x 2.50ghz)
RAM: 2GB DDR2 667Mhz
GPU: Nvidia 8400GS
Motherboard: Asrock g31m-s
PSU: 350W

Isn't a molex connecter an option? Both of these are about the same price(I can get the 7770 just at just the same price as 7750). Do you think I won't benefit from the little difference ?
