How do I tell whether the graphic card fits in the chassis?

Chassis is ThermalTake V9 Black Edition, Link to specs
Graphic card is Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT With Boost 2GB GDDR5, Link to specs

Chassis info:
Quote:
Dimension (H x W x D)
462.0 x 208.0 x 485.0 mm
(18.19 x 8.19 x 19.10 inch)

Graphic card info:
Quote:
Dimension 275(L)x115(W)x35(H) mm Size.
2 x slot

The FAQ of the chassis says that it supports graphic card length of 265mm, but the aforementioned card is longer by 10mm.

I wouldn't chance it. That is why they state dimensional specs.

Do you have the case already? If so, just measure from the back edge to the back edge of the drive bays. 275 mm works out to about 10.8 inches, so if your measurement comes out to more than that, the card will fit.

According to Newegg.com, a Radeon HD 5970 will fit in the case. To give some perspective, the 5970 was about 12 inches long, while the 7870 you are looking at is about 10.8 inches long. Like I stated earlier in this post, if you can measure it out, you can be sure it will fit.

They didn't state dimensions in a way that I can figure out if a component of X size fits in the case...
I've looked everywhere - in the manual, the specs on the website...
You'd imagine they would supply images with dimensions but all of the images are for showoff, without dimensional info.

I've verified with Thermaltake support and this was their answer:
Quote:
V9 series can support VGA length in 290mm.

The card you are looking to use has top mounted power headers, so you should be OK then. But keep in mind if you change your mind and think about getting a card that has the power headers on the end of the card, you'll have to allow extra length for the cables to connect.
