Hi, I never had this problem before and I have no idea how it started.
basically, everytime I power on or restart my computer, my computer will stay at the start up screen for a bout a whole minute until it goes to were I have to login.
My OS is win8 64bit and it's installed on an SSD, it use to take me 10 seconds to boot up.
After troubleshooting for hours, I found out as soon I power on my computer and open the DVD drive, my computer boots normally.
I tried disabled my Drive from the bios and device manager but that didn't help the problem.
my DVD drive is Asus DRW-24B1St.
Any idea why my drive is making my computer take forever to boot?

Hi thanks for your reply.
I did try to update the firmware and it gives me this error: "No matched drive detected! This utility is only for Asus DRW-24B1ST drive. Detected drives: DRW-24B1ST c 1.05"
