Faulty RAM or faulty HDD?

Very recently my gaming PC has been stuttering madly while playing Batman Arkham Origins. I have also been getting game crashes, and once I got a BSOD warning me of memory management problems. When I reboot, I usually hear the Windows 7 intro tune as the password screen appears. Now the password screen appears, I enter my p/w to get the desktop, and the intro tune plays late/lags. Also, my internet speed to the PC has been terrible... < 100 Kbps when I should be getting closer to 3 Mbps (I use a Linksys wireless NIC).

So, does this sound like one or more faulty RAM modules, or perhaps an HDD problem? The HDD is a 3 TB Seagate, which is only several months old. I did have Windows shut down on me once and begin a chkdsk for a faulty sector.

Advice?

COuld be a number of things, Memtest is good to check the DRAM, for the HD can run CheckDisk - go to Command Prompt as Administrator and run CHKDSK /R, might also check that all drivers are up to date, might run MalWareBytes (they have a free version) to check for Malware...might also check for corrupt system file again go to Command prompt as administrator and run SFC /SCANNOW

Try scanning your ram modules with this tool: http://www.memtest86.com/
It's the best. If it passes then we would check further.
