Hello, I'm looking for some assurance concerning my PSU. It's a Rosewill Hive 550W with 38A on the +12V rail. Here are the rest of my specs:
AsRock z77 extreme 4
XFX DD 7850 2gb (not black edition)
i5-3570k
The i5 is stock and I'm considering overclocking my 7850. My concern is that my power supply isn't good enough. The hive 550W is a decent PSU, and I know 38A should be sufficient but I still have my doubts. I don't plan on an extreme overclock, I'll just push it slightly past the stock voltage until I get a round frequency. The 7850 requires both 6-pin PCIe because of its beefed up cooling.
Am I just paranoid? What is your opinion?
