I tried benchmarking my i5 3470 oced at 3.7 ghz with intel xtu. At one point the cpu temp hit around 91c for about twenty seconds. Is there any damage done to the cpu?

Probably not, considering it was such a short amount of time. However, if the processor routinely gets that hot under high load, I'd take a look at the CPU heatsink.

Hi,

Yes, try bringing the voltage down or buy an aftermarket cooler because 91 degree is hot and will bake the chip on the long run.

That is within spec, so you should be fine. I highly recommend something like a Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 if you want to leave your chip in turbo mode all the time.
