when i try to play a game or mavis beacom typing app it tells me that my video card is not supported. but it was working before i formatted the pc. how do resolve the issue?

Solution
If you're trying to run an old piece of software/game the program might not be able to know what card you have and thus prompting you with that it isn't supported. right-click on the short-cut/.exe file, switch the tab to compatibility and run the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

Could you elaborate what games you're trying to run and what "mavis beacom typing app" is?
