Hey, my monitor is connected with a vga cable with a connector from vga to dvi. So it's basically a vga cable connected on a dvi port.

Can this result in loss of quality or some other side effects?
For example after a game i have blurry text. Also when i start my pc my monitor goes into power save mode untill the windows starts (But that is probably something with the monitor)

My graphics card is x2 Nvidia gtx 560ti SLI , monitor: LG Flatron W2243S, Windows 8.1 Pro

I have never seen any diference from VGA to DVI, if you have blurry text, could be some driver issue so make sure those are updated.
If not, then the adapter may be mulfunction, try switching the cables, i guess your monitor doesnt have VGA connecter for you to have to use the dvi adapter.

Could be a result of bad cables.

It's definitely not drivers issue. Reinstalled them couple of times.

I don't have any cables right now to test.
My monitor doesn't support dvi :/  So i thought i could try putting them the other way around.

NOW it's like this: behind the pc i have a converter (from dvi to vga), on that thing it's connected a vga cable that goes up to the monitor.
I thought i could put the connector to my monitor (from vga to dvi) and use a dvi cable to connect to gfx card. But that might just be BS and have 0 results :/

PS. Does anybody know how to turn off power saving mode on a monitor? I searched in the settings menu of the monitor, found nothing. Tried nvidia settings, nothing, power options nothing... Drives me crazy! I hope it's not in BIOS cause i cant see anything on monitor untill windows loads :/
