Replacing motherboard, do I need to buy a new copy of Windows 8?

Okay I bought this computer on Newegg during its X-mas events and now I am considering upgrading my computer with a new GPU and Mobo, I am wondering if I need to buy a new copy of Win8 for a brand new Mob?

  1. No you dont. Window is stored in your HDD, not mobo or gpu. Makes sense.

The Windows 8 OEM license is transferable to another PC/Motherboard, however, you will likely be required to re-install Windows so it knows how to communicate with the new motherboard chipsets.
