So I've had a Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 3GB for about a year now and just wanted some extra insight on whether or not to upgrade to a GTX 780 TI. I want to future proof for next-gen games because I'm already seeing frames below 60 in BF4 on ultra settings. Thanks.

Specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
i7-4770k - Cooler Master V8 GTS
Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 3GB
Asus Maximus VI Hero
16GB Patriot Viper 3 2133MHz RAM
Crucial M4 256GB SSD
1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
CM Silent Pro 1000w PSU

Upgrade froming 7970 to a Gtx 780 is a huge jump in performance. Definitely a worthy upgrade.

are you on a single monitor? if so, just upgrade with a 2nd 7970/280x and enjoy even better performance than with a 780.

25% performance in terms of frames and benchies is not as less as you think :)
and he is upgrading to 780Ti and not to a 780, so it'll be more than 25%.

Though I do support your Crossfire idea.

Plus, saucy mentioned

Nothing is better than the GTX 780 Ti or the 290X for future proofing.

that might be true that i underestimated it a bit, but at least for me it wouldnt be worth throwing in 500$.
i guess if OP is playing on a single monitor, adding another card would be his best option since he also got already a suited psu and mobo.
