I'm finally looking to upgrade my PC to something newer.
Primary use: Gaming @ 1920x1080, web browsing, light programming
Current PC:
Apevia X-Telstar Aluminum Full Tower Case
AMD Athlon™64 X2 5200+ Dual-Core CPU
Mushkin PC2-6400 DDR2/800 memory
Thermaltake MaxOrb Enthusiast CPU Cooling Fan
Crucial RealSSD C300
Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX graphics card
I'm looking to replace some of those parts with:
ASRock Z87 Extreme6 motherboard
Intel Core i5-4670K CPU
G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB of PC3 12800 memory
CORSAIR H80i Water Cooler
and i'm going to throw in some Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste and two new case fans... since the ones that came with my tower are kind of loud
Any thoughts on this are welcome... My CPU is aging, and there isn't much i can do with the old AM2 socket, so I don't mind keeping it. I've upgraded the hard drive and the GPU since I initially built this.
If anyone sees any issues or conflicts it would be greatly appreciated
