Dropped USB drive in cooking oil

Solution
if you get all the oil out of it before plugging it in it should work without damaging it. without seeing the drive u could trying removing the cover of it or try submerging it in some rubbing alcohol for a min (short amount of time to cause the oil to float off of it) then let it dry out for awhile to completely let all the insides out. I wouldn't clean it with water and soap because that will definitely corrode the connectors. after giving it plenty of time to dry out plug it in and try it. good luck

I see that people have motherboards in oil so I thought it really cant harm a USB? I guess Vokda has too much water in it huh?

I guess I should have mentioned the oil was hot too! its literally fried. Did the alcohol thing. Its trash now. Ty anyway
