Hi,

I tested my CPU with passmark Benchmark performance test 8 and I got twice a 1500 mark instead of the usual 6000 for this CPU? why is my CPU under performing that much (this score is even lower than my previous duo core E8400!!!)

My comp specs: Gygabyte AM3+ / FX-6300 no overclock / 8GB DDR3 Hyperlinks corsair / Windows 7 32 bits with Ram Tweak to get more than 4 GB recognized / GTX 570 / HHD Sata 3 Blue Caviar WD 500GB

More about : low passmark score fx6300

Many programs are designed specifically for 64 bit operating systems, so 32 bit may be throttling you.

What are your temperatures like? If they're too high you will see bad performance.
Also, I'm not sure which particular benchmarking tool it was, but one was specifically optimised for intel systems. Forgive my terrible memory lol.

Temps are really good, so no worries on this part... but still 1500 vs 6000, something wrong is happening!
I used the program on this website: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
with their free benchmarking software... Performance test 8

I would suggest uninstalling all drivers and testing. I have a Gigabyte mobo and my USB 3.0 drivers were messing up my performance pretty drastically.
