Technically yes, but why even take that into consideration when you can easily upgrade to a higher resolution monitor in the future? You can get 1080 screens for around $150, and 2560x1440 screens for around $300, so why concern yourself and limit your build because of your current monitor, instead just plan to upgrade that as soon as you are able to.
