Hi to the community. Well I have decided that I'd be getting an Asus HD 7770 2GB DDR5 graphics card alongwith 8 GB of corsair vengeance ram for my computer. But when I came to know about the power supply I had, just 250 watts, I thought buying these items would be a sure gamble. Below are the current specs of my system

Processor : Core i3-550 3.2 Ghz
Ram : 4 GB Ram
GPU : XFX Radeon 5450 1GB DDR3
PSU : 250 watt suply
Heatsink And Fank (73w)

So basically what I mean to say is that with a 250 watt power supply, I think I won't be able to run the Asus HD 7770 2 gigs version on my computer. So can you guys tell me the cheapest PSU that I can buy and that has a 400-500 watt supply output and will I need to buy a PCIe connector as well ?

Just grab anything above 500W. That will serve you well if you ever want to overclock :)

As mentioned "just grabbing something above xxxW" is never a good idea...but then again that's come from a RAIDMAX user ;)

Should I buy it's 500 watt version or 600 watt version ?? Also, I'd like to tell that I have got some complaints about the Dell 580s desktops that usually they cant be upgraded to high end components. Will this corsair PSU fit in it ??

I've done upgrades on quite a few dell/hp desktops with the CX series and they always work out. If you can afford the CX600 that would give you some headroom for future upgrading.

And yes, they all come with plenty of PCI-E for the card you're talking about.
