Yeasterday i got my new fx-8350 cpu wich i upgraded from my old fx-4100, i did notice it gave me better peformance in bf3 like i dident see it go under 70 fps but it dident go any crazy high, i have it on ultra on 1080p so i saw some increasment there, i tested crysis 3 too and it was only max about 30 fps on the first mission when you are on the ship and it rains and all. i run it with a gigabyte 7970 1ghz edition.
i dident test too long any of the games just about 20 min bf 3 because i did notice my cpu gets hot about 63 degrees celcius and its idle at about 42-49 degrees wich i think is way too much even for the fx-8350, my fx-4100 clocked at 4,2 ghz never went over 52 degrees when gaming for hours.
It may be that i got some air bubbles in the thermal paste when i did apply the cooler back because i had some problems getting it back together so it may be i dident use full pressure all the time that it did lift a little while i was mounting it, so it may have come some air bubbles in there, gonna redo everything today and put new thermal paste, if something went wrong yday, i use the artic cooling mx-4 thermal paste with my antec kuhler h20 620 cooler.
i have 2 front fans they are not the best since its enermax appolo t.b so its more for the bling, then i have 3 BitFenix spectre pro led fans, they have pretty good air flow 2 on top of case 1 140mm and 1 120mm and 1 140mm on side, then i have have forgot name atm but its a good one none led in bottom of case, and then i have one normal at the radiator at back, i will change that fan and make a pull/push config on the radiator later when i get the screws,
Air directions:
So front fans = intace
top fans = out
side = intace
bottom= out
and the radiator fan at back = out
So what fps with this system should i excpect? and what temps with that thermal paste and cooler on the fx-8350.
