Hello everyone.

Today is the day I will finally be able to assemble my new working station for graphic design and video rendering. Some of the parts are:

P9X79 PRO motherboard
3930k CPU
G.Skill RipjawsZ 32GB DDR3 PC-17000 2133MHz CL9 4x8gb memory

The question I have is about XMP. As I have understood, all ram from default runs at 1600mhz and that I have to change that in BIOS, XMP. So far so good. But after some reading I got bit worried.

Iv read that if I change voltage that I could damage the CPU. So if someone that has the same setup, or experience of it could help me with the setup, it would be really awesome. What XMP to choose, what voltage/timings etc.

I am really sorry for this noobie question, but I wouldnt want to damage a, not even a day old, PC.
Thanks in advance :)

You purchased all compatible hardware, so all you have to do is enable XMP Profile under AI Overclock Tuner in BIOS/EFI, then the system will be ready to go at full speed. Easy set up for high performance is the best thing about purchasing hardware that is on the manufacturer list and has been tested for perfect compatibility.

Enjoy! You should be very pleased with that high end computer.

Thank you
