Hello everyone!

I am kinda new here (been reading TH for long time, but never registered) and i got some problems with my old computer. I hope you guys can help me diagnose the problem.

As i stated, my old PC suddenly restarted when i was watching YouTube videos, and i couldn't get it working ever since. When i press the power button, everything spins up (fans, hdd, dvd drive, graphics card), but PC doesn't play the POST beep sound (that beep you hear when PC is booting up), and there is no signal coming to the monitor (monitor led just lights up in orange color). I as thinking my PSU died as it did few times, so i gave the graphics card to my friend last week as i don't need it anymore (i am buying new pc). But my friend claims that card is dead, he took it to service and they said the same thing. I don't know how it died as it worked perfectly on my PC (until that restart), i bought the card few months ago brand new (sapphire hd3450 512mb AGP) and i used it only for watching movies, YouTube videos and playing chess.com.

Could it be that the card died cause of PSU? Or is my motherboard dead too? Since i tried booting pc without card and result was the same (no sound), i don't have spare card or IGP. When i remove ram, and start up pc it beeps because there is no ram. Does that mean mobo is ok?

I am just curious to know what the problem is, i dont need that pc anymore for daily use, but i wanted to use it as NAS server since i got couple of old hdds laying around.

PC SPECS:
Mobo: asus P4S800D-X
CPU: INTEL Celeron D 325 @2,6ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR
VGA: Sapphire HD3450 512Mb AGP
PSU: MS KY-400ATX P4 (i think)

Solution
Try isolating your mobo . try turning it on without any video card the next your ram then next your hard drive so on even your pin headers remove them your floppy and other external components until the only thing left is the CPU fan processor and the psu . if there is still no beep around that time . its safe to say that your mobo is dead. or maybe its your processor or the psu . try burrowing an processor or an psu. if you cant burrow any go to a local shop and get them take a look at it .

if you can get an extra PSU and/or PROCESSOR . change first the PSU . if nothing still beeps. change the processor if that works then your processor is damaged or dead . if still nothing works . your mother board is 100% dead good for scraps ...
