For the 280x toxic price you could get GTX 770. GTX 770 & 280x are neck and neck. If you want to do multi-monitor then go for 280x as it has 3gb VRAM else GTX 770 is very good for 1080p or 1440p.

We are comparing a 760 and R9 280. If you want to max out at 1080p then 760 is probably enough, but if you want to max out BF4 then R9 280 is much better choice.

It's get the Sapphire one. Actually I may be buying one myself.

760 is a very capable gpu and will max out almost anything at 1080.

There's arounda 15% difference between 760 and 280 and there is also a 50$ price difference. You decide.

Well if you want to get 280x then you should have a pretty good PSU as its power hungry.

GTX 770 is cheaper and performs same. I'd say go with the 770

This is not true, keep in mind that OP is asking about the Toxic Edition, which is indeed faster than a 770. If he wanted the same performance as a 770, he could get a non-Toxic edition for about $20 cheaper...
