Hey guys, need some help. I was originally planning to buy 760/770 but then r9 series came out. Atm the only available r9 280x in my country is sapphire dual-x, vapor-x and HIS IceQ. Actually not available yet, but currently on shipping and they are taking pre-orders, so im kinda expecting it will sold out FAST. But with nvidia dropping prices on 770, thats another thing to think about. Oh and there are still no price drop in my country other than ZOTAC.

So here's the problem, pre-order HIS IceQ or dual-x or vapor-x or toxic or wait for 770 price drop?

Btw i will be playing on dell u2412m which i will be buying together with the gpu and i will most likely be playing at 1920 x 1200/1080. I will be future proofing the gpu for at least 3-4 years and will most likely SLI/XFIRE by then, will Seasonic x650 gold do? or get x750?

If 280x is cheap in your country then 280x is the way to go. Or if 770 gets the price cut their then it'll be cheaper I guess. They both perform the same but 280x consumes a bit more power. If you want to do multi-monitor then you should get the card which has more VRAM as 280x comes with 3gb & GTX 770 standard version comes with 2gb but MSI has released a 4gb version too.

And for SLI/CFX you'll need a 750-800W PSU for sure

It is about price point as how much you're willing to spend. And getting 280x toxic means you'll have to get a 1000W PSu for CFX.

And it is said. I have no personal experience though that Nvidia has better drivers for multi GPU config. But 280x benchmarks show nothing unusual so I'd say go whatever is cheap cause both has same performance. And get that brand only who has a good customer support in your country
