Amd radeon r270x giving less performance

just bought a new card amd 270 2gb, and when i use grapics quality "auto detect" on my game it gives me a low graphic score... my other card gave me high which was a amd 5850 1gb which is a very old card so dont understand it . i have used the latest driver off the amd website which are all beta because its a fairly new card.
Any help to get full performance would be greatly appreciated Thanks

asus sabertooth 990fx mob
12gb ram

just noticed looking at device manager my card is showing up as a HD 8800 series whats going on there lol something wrong here

Edit could it be some thing to do with windows 8.1? when i auto detect the card on amd site it cant find one

it seems like your computer is either not recognizing the 270x and using the integrated graphic card
or integrated graphic card is currently the default video device for your computer.

Try asking around or google it to find the solution since I'm not too familiar with the subject
