This is my first gaming comp I am building myself. Parts are in the mail. Curious how you think I did and if there is anything you think will need updating sooner rather than later. Was on a budget of under $600 but with a little spill over room.

AMD FX6300 3.5GHz
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0
MSI HD 7850 2GB
CoolMaster i600 PSU 600W
GSkill Ripjaws X (2x4GB) DDR3 2133
RAIDMAX Tornado ATX-238WU <- Ugly as sin but for $30 and 3 fans...I'll sacrifice my aesthetics integrity.
LG 24x DVD/CD Burner
Before Rebates: $637*
After Rebates: $562*

Plan to add a SSD card and flash reader when I get the extra cash.

*Includes new keyboard, mouse, thermal compound, and a monitor cable.

You are fine. The PSU is less than desired, but you won't be pushing its output limit so it'll be fine. In the future try to stick with Antec, Corsiar, XFX or Seasonic.

That rig will respond well to an aftermarket CPU cooler and an overclock, as well as that SSD you are planning. Enjoy!

newegg has them for $64...that seemed pretty cheap considering the cost of 1600s were $6 more.

I may be able ot contact the shipper and see if the package hasn't left the store physically yet. see if i can switch to a better brand.

thanks guys

Do you think 500W will be enough for future upgrades? seems like if I add a better CPU cooler eventually and start overclocking that my buffer will quickly diminish compared to a 600W. i was able to get a hold of the seller so there is a hold on my pkg going out.
