What I have is two PCs connected in LAN, TP link wireless Router/Modem to bring in the interwebs and a switch to send data packets to respective IP address. What I do not have is two different IP addresses. Just yesterday there was this windows message about IP address conflict and obvious solution seems to set one of the computer with different IP address. Might not be a technical solution, I'm not sure. Is this possible? Is this solution to my problem? If yes how do I do that? If no what should I do? If there is another solution which one is better and how do I do the better one?

If it helps I have static IP address.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
If no DHCP on router, set static address for each pc's network card ...

Settings if your routers IP is 192.168.0.1, if 192.168.1.1, just change the 3rd digit, change the last digit for each PC to get an unique IP.

IP = 192.168.0.2
Subnet = 255.255.255.0
Gateway and DNS = 192.168.0.1 <- IP of your router
