I want to connect my laptop to my PC and use it as 2nd monitor, but something weird happens.
1st specs: I use GTX 660 and i5 3570k on MSI motherboard, windows 8
Virtu technology in bios is on virtu - d, IGD Multi monitor is off.
So:
I'm connecting the D-Sub cable with converter to DVI to my graphics card, my main monitor is on HDMI and my PC does nothing as well as laptop, so I use WinK + p to change to extend and then magically the 2nd monitor shows as "Analog monitor" with 1024 res or something like this, and nothing else happens, I can move mouse there, then I change in laptop to only projector which gives nothing.
I also tried to connect it to CPU GPU but same thing. Do I need any software or something?
Also is there any mode for laptop to just keep monitor on and whole system shutted down?
