I was playing Battlefield 4 and twice, it crashed and displayed a red screen. It has me a bit worried because I just bought a new GPU (GIgabyte R9 280x) so I am hoping it isn't that as I've heard bad things about Gigabyte and the GPU from them. The thing is though, I can play for hours at a time, and the red screen only appeared twice, randomly.
I heard it can be something with the 2 8pin connectors to the PSU, or even drivers. So I updated to the latest beta drivers from AMD for Windows 8.1 and the r9 280x. It hasn't happened since last night but it has me worried it could be a faulty GPU from Gigabyte.
Other specs:
AMD Phenom II x965 Black Edition Quad Core 3.4 ghz
8 GB DDR3 RAM (PSY)
ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Antec Green 650w PSU
Any help would be appreciated or some reassurance that it is not a faulty GPU (fingers crossed!)
