I know this has been discussed numerous times, but I need a reassurance.
I think of buying the Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X OC graphic card for which the official requirement are a 750W power supply, but I've also read that a good quality 500W psu can be sufficient.

So, I wonder if my Seasonic X-Series 660W is enough for this setup (and will there be any room for further overclocking):
- Asus Maximus VI Hero
- i7 4770K overclocked to 4,100 (1.19 core voltage)
- Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X OC
- 8GB RAM
- Samsung Evo 840 SSD + Western Digital HDD + DVD
- 3 chassis fans + 1 CPU fan

Thanks.

Solution
Power consumption Radeon R9-280X

1.System in IDLE = 119W
2.System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 352W
3.Difference (GPU load) = 231W
4.Add average IDLE wattage ~10W
5.Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 243 Watts

•AMD R9 280X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
•AMD R9 280X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

So you are fine to go. But OC would be tight.
