So, I bought my computer from cyberpower, I ended up with an xtremegear 700 watt psu (yes I know its bad, I was on a budget). My warranty is done and I figure I would upgrade to a newer more stable PSU, one that can handle a GTX 780.
I have a question about the amps on PSUs. The GTX 780 requires 42 amps on the 12v rail. How do I measure amps on the rails? Here is my current PSU specs http://www.buyxg.com/spec/getspec.aspx?n=POWERSUPPLY&v=700%20Watts%20-%20Standard%20Power%20Supply%20-%20SLI%2FCrossFireX%20Ready Does this mean that my psu does not have enough amps to power the 780? If not, what are some recommendations on psus capable of the GTX 780?
Thanks
