Hey everyone, this is my first post ever in the forums here and I was just wondering what your opinions are on the new system I will be building soon enough. Would you recommend different parts or anything like that? Thanks! The reason for the 16GB and i7 is because I do a heavy amount of editing and the faster processor helps with encoding speeds.

CPU: i7 4770K
GPU: GTX 780 DirectCU II (or the GTX 880 DirectCU II, I'm not sure as to whether or not I should wait until the release of this card instead.)
RAM: 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866mhz
PSU: Corsair AX860i
Case: Corsair 750D
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB x3
SSD: Corsair Force 60GB (for my OS)
Cooler: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: Asus Formula VI

Well since the 880 hasn't been released and their isn't any information regarding that card as of yet its very hard to speculate their.

Ram: you can go with 8 but if you go with 16 and can make use of it go for it. ie., professional work environment makes good use of memory.

CPU: A i5 will do you just fine unless you are doing something professionally related save yourself some money and spend it elsewhere.

SSD: Please buy a SSD with premium nand flash in it. People will buy the cheaper and less performing drives with less durability and wonder what the buzz with SSD's is about. Something like a 840 Pro could work perhaps a 128 GB SSD which will allow you to place your os on the drive and perhaps a game or two.

Cooler: I have the h100i and I really like it although I did change the fans which you may be okay with the stock fans but the noise was brutal. I went with the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans they are pretty pricey.

Motherboard: With most of the items being taken care of on the CPU now I would say I would avoid purchasing a ROG board unless you intend have a overclock edge with ASUS ROG's amazing VRM's.
