Dell inspiron 560 gpu options

My pc is a dell inspiron 560, and i was wondering how much of a graphics card (physically) i can use? ive been looking at the XFX Radeon HD 7950 and its dimensions are 27.4 x 3.8 x 11.2 cm, will this fit into the PCI Express slot without a problem?

xfx has a 7950 which is 10.5cm in length , which should fit into the case but I've noticed with dells the cases themselves have pour air flow, so your card would get pretty hot, not to mention your power supply isn't good enough for that card. the best card for you system would be a 7790 for room and power requirements. you also have a core 2 duo it looks like which would best fit a 7790

Okay so i bought a new gpu, a Asus radeon hd 7770 2G and it still crashes
it seems that everytime i use a gpu that requires a power cabel (6pin) from the power supply, it crashes. When i use the 5450 that doesnt need the power cable it doesnt crash

Can anyone confirm this is a psu problem and not something else like motherboard? PSU is an Alpine 650w
