Display driver has stopped responding win8

Solution
You may have a cooling problem . The graphics chip may be overheating .

I havent used an nVidia graphics card for a few years so I cant help you in detail , but you should have some nVidia control panel software installed . It will let you check how fast the gpu is working , and report on the temperatures it is running .

Sometimes it can be that the heatsink is a little lose on the graphics card and not cooling properly

I rolled back, did not help. I've also tried things like changing PCI express power save to off, tried TdrDelay, and ms fixit doesn't work on win8. I also get the message sometimes that the application has been denied access to graphics settings.
