Hi,

Lately I've been doing some 3D modeling and my laptop just doesn't do the job. This is my first custom build pc which I intent to use mainly for really high poly modeling and rendering in blender. The last few days I've been reading a lot and ended up with these components. Could someone who knows a bit more about hardware than me (anybody, lol) have a look and give me some feedback. Do all the parts fit together? Did I choose some overprized parts which won't give me any performance boost? Have I forgotten something? Can I be sure that everything will fit in my case? I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance :)

Ok, switched the Kinsington SSD for a Samsung SSD 840 Evo (ca . 87.58 €), it has very good reviews.

I chose a Bluray drive because I want to watch some blueray movies and I don't intent for a major upgrade in the next few years. It seems more future proof to me to get a blueray drive.

Why go for 2x4 GB RAM? Originally I wanted to get 16 GB but the prices for RAM are pretty high at the moment, so I'll get 8 now and another 8 when prices drop. And I'll also have the possibility to upgrade to 32 GB without having to discard some modules if I go for 8 GB modules now, instead of 4 GB.

What about the rest? I'm not sure about my PSU, could I go with a cheaper one? I don't really know which type of power plugs I need for all my components.
