Is it possible to move Windows 7 and all it's drivers to another hard drive?

Okay, here's my dillema. I have an HDD with Windows 7, which has the Core i3 drivers in it. However, the SATA port on this HDD is broken. I have another HDD with the Pentium Dual Core drivers from another MOBO, which is not broken. I found a short term way to make the i3 HDD work. So is it possible for me to transfer the i3 drivers to the Pentium Dual Core HDD without having to reinstall Windows 7?

Or perhaps, is there a way I could wipe the Pentium Dual Core HDD and transfer all the files from the i3 HDD to it?

It is possible, but the first thing to do is uninstall your graphic driver as I have found that to be a major issue. Also, insure that you use the same SATA bios mode in the older machine -- AHCI or IDE whatever is on the i3 to start. I've had pretty good luck moving drives among Intel machines. Of course, since there are no guarantees, I would first back up all data files.

And then in the motherboard BIOS I should make sure they have the same SATA setting?

Also, is there a way to uninstall the Pentium Dual Core drivers and replace them with the i3 drivers? Or does Windows do this automatically?

Basically, I can't afford a new HDD right now; so switching to the Pentium D drive is my only choice. However, I still want to use my i3 mobo.

And if I just reinstalled Windows 7 on the Pentium D drive... Would that automatically replace the CPU drivers?
