GPU HDMI problem.

For some odd reason a month ago my GPU (which is a GeForce GTS 450) just stopped working from the HDMI port, and I had to buy a VGA to DVI port (for my TV, which is my monitor). Can anyone tell me what my problem is? I even opened it up and checked if it was loose, but it is not, I tried to insert it while the TV is on... Can anyone tell me?

Does your MB have on-board/integrated HDMI? If so, take the gfx card out and use the integrated port for a test. See if you get a picture that way.
If you get a picture, I'd say the card is defective.
If you still don't get a picture, I'd say the TV is the problem.

I've tried using different ports on my HDTV, but it still doesn't work. I just don't know what it could be.
