Hey everybody! I am purchasing a PSU tomorrow and being my paranoid self i am looking for a last minute second opinion! lol

The PSU i am looking at is: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=3...

it is going to be powering a EVGA GTX 760 SC. The rest of my specs are as follows:
MOBO: ASUS p8z68-mPRO
Soundcard: Soundblaster Z
Fans: 4 120mm fans, and one stock CPU fan
CPU: I5 - 2400 Sandy Bridge
Ram: 2 4 gig DDR3
HDD: Seagate 1TB
SSD: 128 Samsung 840 PRO

This seems like my best option i think, although i know cost is a little steep, i looked at the EVGA 600b, and other cheaper PSU but they all seem like either an "OKAY" PSU or there's that one thing in the review that turns you off of it, lol. This was one of the only ones i could find with all raving reviews. If anyone could suggest a cheaper alternative that is also a solid unit, that would be awesome! thanks in advance, you guys are great!

Since you didn't specify a GPU, will you be getting one, or running a computer with no GPU?

If that's the case, 600W is too much, something like 400W would be enough.

EDIT: My bad, I skipped a line when reading the specs, then searched for "GPU:" and didn't find it. Ugh, should've read better.

That is an excellent PSU and a few classes above the EVGA 600B you mention that is a budget PSU. Your rig will though have plenty of power if you selected the G-550 version

He did specify a GPU (He never edited it, BTW). Anyway, that's an amazing PSU that gives a lot of room to OC. a 600w unit would be fine though, but still an excellent choice!

Heyo!

Yeah u picked the best quality in that shop, btw 650W is overkill.
But if I were you I would go with the 550W model. Here the review for 550 model :

awesome guys thank you so much! i would go with the 550 but the 650 is only 10 bucks more! so i will go with this one to be able to OC in the future, thank you so much everybody for your replies!

EDIT: My only other question would be is it bad to have the 650W? i heard that PSU become less efficient at lower loads, but im worried that 550 would be cutting it too close with OC(only OC on the core though), as it recommends a 500W minimum for a EVGA 760 SC

Saw that when I looked and I would have gone for the 650 as well.
