Hello there, computer specs first:
500gb WD HDD
EVGA GTX 760 2G Superclocked up to about 1200 and 1600
i7 920 C0 CPU Clocked to 3.8GhZ
MSI MS-7522 mobo
6 Gigs Corsair Dominator DDR3 (3x2) 1600
Apevia 680w PSU
Accessories:
Maximum supported case fans with flow-concerned placement
Corsair H100i LCU
NZXT 5-fan 1-bay touchscreen controller
And plenty of the color blue
And the upgrades I will be buying (likely the exact models)
Seagate 2tb SV35 Series
Second EVGA GTX 760 2G Superclocked
Corsair Dominator 3x12
Samsung EVO 840 SSD
I have some cm3x2g1600c8d ram with specs here:
http://www.techwarelabs.com/corsair-dominator-cm3x2g1600c8d/]http://
And I need to upgrade, because I am doubling up the GPUs and for a while, my RAM and GPU have been running at 99% and 94%, respectively.
I was thinking of getting:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145321]http://
And they are very similar models, but the timing goes up from 8 8 8 24 to 9 9 9 24 and i see that as a possible concern. My motherboard CAN handle another triple channel set, but I just wanted to see if I had to toss the 3x2 ram, or if i could rock a full 18gb at once.
Thanks for the read, and have a good one!
