So I am having an issue with my Billion BP7800NL Router and its Wireless Connection.

Ill will try to explain below.

I have the Router plugged in to the telephone socket (duh) and the main PC wired into the back. Ive set up the

wireless network to the best of my ability to send out its wireless signal around the house. This works fine with

all the Ipads/Iphone in the house... until..

I bought a PLaystation 3.
So I decided to use the wireless network first and if was iffy (3 walls and about 10 mts from the router). The

connection was ok but Id get dropped every now and again. So I decided I would just use an ethernet cable (20 mts)

and wire the thing in and stop the random drops.

All was working fine (I thought) until I hear a shout from the wife upstairs saying her Iview and internet is not

working on her Ipad. I go and check and here is the problem...

Although the wireless LED is lit on the router, none of the wireless Devices are connected and they are asking for

the Network password. In fact the wireless Icon on all the Ipads/Iphone have gone. So no wireless signal being

broadcast/picked up.

As soon as I turn off the PS3/removed the second ethernet cable the wireless signal pops up again?????

I have not tested to see if its.
1. The second ethernet cable being plugged in causing the problem
2. The PS3 using cable

Ideas? Or perhaps suggest a good tech help forum I can post this on?

Cheers,

Stuart

Pull out or download your manual. Enter the BP7800NL configuration pages and insure that QoS is disabled, and that your DHCP service has sufficient addresses available for all connected devices. Also insure that you are not using static addresses for your wired devices that have not been excluded from the DHCP address pool.
