Hello all!
Put together a new rig using the Asus Maximus VI Formula mobo and everything is working correctly with the exception of the four USB 3.0 ports on the back of the board, controlled by the AsMedia chip.
The ports listed as #2 on page 2-16 here:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/MAXIMUS-VI-FORMULA/E8336_Maximus_VI_Formula.pdf
My other USB 3.0 ports (#9) work correctly though they are controlled by the Z87 chip.
When I plug anything into the 4 ports controlled by the AsMedia chip they never get recognized. The ports appears to have power, when I plug in a thumb drive the LED lights up on the drive, but after a second it turns off. Windows never even tries to install drivers for the things that are installed.
I also went and download the latest version of the BIOS and USB 3.0 drivers (only available for the intel controller).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
P.S. Running Win 7 64-bit.
