Hi there,
I have a custom build PC, which has been running smooth for the past 1.5 years.
All of the sudden, today, it stopped working, I can no longer start my PC and I get three long beeps when I try to start it.

According to my motherboard manual, these 3 beeps, and the error code "D3" stand for:
" If memory sizing module not executed, start memory refresh and do
memory sizing in Bootblock code. Do additional chipset initialization.
Re-enable CACHE. Verify that flat mode is enabled."

Could somebody tell me what I could try to fix this problem? I have a hard time finding a possible solution in the description of the error.

My setup is as follows:
HD: Samsung SpinPoint F3
RAM: OCZ Obsidian Series Dual Channel Kit - 4 GB: 2 x 2 GB - DIMM 240-pins - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL9 - 1.65 V
Motherboard: Asrock Extreme3 870
CPU: AMD Black Edition - 1 x AMD Phenom II X4 955 / 3.2 GHz - Socket AM3 - L3 6 MB
GPU: MSI R5770 Hawk

In my search online, I found several other cases like this, with the same motherboard, but no answers unfortunately. I have read suggestions like reset bios by removing the battery for a few minutes, but I don't know how to do this, and I would rather keep this as a last resort. My apologies if I should have posted this in a different section of the forum, but this section seemed right.

Any help, tips or advise are very welcome!

Hi, I found the solution so I am sharing it here in case other people run into the same problem in the future.
On one of the small LED displays on motherboard says reset, press it once firmly and most likely your problems are solved.
(worked for me at least)
