Hey, I just got my new gtx780 from gigabyte. It's OC version. Before that, I was using xfx hd6870. However, when I try to install the nvidia driver, the system just automated restart. After that, every time I start my computer, it will restart in 10 seconds to 3minutes. I'm using ASUS Maximus VI hero z87 + i7 4770k, PSU is cooler master v1000.

I would run MEMTEST just to verify your System RAM first. www.memtest.org

Also, try booting from an UBUNTU LIVE CD to test basic system stability. Just boot and touch nothing (it runs from CD, not installed). If your system crashes you likely have a hardware problem with the graphics card. If it doesn't crash it's probably a driver or other software issue in Windows.

I've been having the exact same problem with the same set up for about a week now and was a completely new build;

Asus Maximus VI Hero
Gigabyte Windforce GTX 780 rev 2.0
8Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600mhz
i7-4770k
Corsair HX850 PSU

Tried everything from different power supplies, BIOS settings (running 0711 atm), memtest, pci-e settings and different pci-e slots.

In the end I returned the card and got a MSI reference GTX 780 instead. Installed it this evening in fact and so far it's been solid, playing BF4 at a solid 60fps on ultra at 1080p - hooked up to 60hz TV, so have vsync on otherwise its about 80fps with tearing (next purchase will be a better monitor when I can afford it, or when the wife agrees!)

Seems there is a conflict or something with the gigabyte card and the hero motherboard so may want to look at swapping the gpu for another make - hope this helps.
