Hi guys,

I have a big issue, and I'm hoping to get your help. I took my PC into a shop to have the heatsink taken off and ram installed as the heatsink was kind of difficult to take off. Ever since then the PC does not POST at all, and the shop claims no responsibility.

I have since had the original RAM reinstalled, and tried cmos reset but still no luck.

My rig:
Asus P9X79 Mobo
Intel 3930k
Noctua NC-14
32gb Ram
Asus Radeon 7950 3gb

Does anyone have any how to help or what I can try? Every power connector looks in, and I'm out of ideas.

Hi, It's probably a damaged socket. Try RMA-ing the board.
As troubleshooting, you can buy a case speaker, attach it to the motherboard and start the system with only CPU and CPU fan installed. See if getting 1 long, 2 short beeps.

Not the speakers, but an internal case speaker.
