Hi

I was wondering whether it would be possible to setup two monitors for my pc. I have an old monitor I would like to use, but it only supports vga. I could buy a converter (as my graphics card does support dual display) but I would prefer to use my motherboard for the old screen.

(as I live in South Africa, so their are issues with stock, costs and delivery, essentially it would cost more than its worth)

My motherboard is an MSI Z77a-G43.

Are there settings that would allow me to do so? Such as bios/other?

Solution
[strike]Won't work. You'll need to use the video card with a two monitor splitter.[/strike]

Edit: apologies, I looked at your motherboards BIOS capabilities and it appears that you can do just that. Often times it isn't the case.

In your BIOS under settings > advanced, you should have an option for integrated graphics configuration. Hit enter on that, go to IGD Multi Monitor, and enable that. That should allow you to configure what you want in Windows.

I just installed a z77 mPower board and when I turn on the IGD multi monitor set up it doesn't seem to work. I can't get it to turn on with my other monitors and when I try running the Virtu Technology software (which is supposed to be a part of the IGD multi monitor thing right?) I get a message from the installer saying that there is no integrated graphics card detected.
