Not sure if anyone can help me but I figured I would give it a shot.

Just moved to chengdu China for work and brought my desktop PC with me. Packed it in a pretty big box wrapped in bubble tape and covered in peanuts and checked in. I took out the video card but left the ssds in and connected.

Just put the video card back in and the desktop does not start up. Nothing happens at all! The motherboard appears to be getting power as there is a green light lit up. I checked all the cables connecting everything to make sure they were secure, and they are. At this point I have no idea what to do so any help would be great! Thanks!

Solution
Understood.

I would start be re-seating the memory and CPU. This means removing and applying new thermal compound between the CPU and heatsink, BTW.

Also, double check that all data and power connections are firmly attached at both ends, as appropriate.

Good luck!

Actually I have a stupid question which might solve my problem. I grabbed a new power supply cable when I was packing and I have no idea where the cabke came from. How do I tell if the cable is correct?
